Signs and Wonders camp…

// July 5th, 2010 // No Comments » // blog

Aloha! I hope you enjoyed my last quick update. Feel free to reply to my posts. It would be nice to hear from you all. I thought I would send you a quick update on my up coming trip to the IHOP Signs and wonders camp for children. The Lord has faithfully provided accommodation for me for the week and It looks like I will have to hire a car to get around. I will be shadowing Lenny LaGuardia who serves on the leadership team at the International House of Prayer Missions Base, where he and his wife Tracy direct and oversee all local, national, and international ministries relating to children ages 1–12.

The Signs and Wonders Camp is a training ground where young forerunners from 6- 12 are released and trained to be wholeheartedly devoted to God. The camp values are:
The knowledge and the love of God.
The power of the Holy Spirit.
The commandment to love, respect, obey, and honor their parents
The end times and forerunner message.
The worldwide worship and prayer movement
Prayer, praise, power, and the prophetic.
All this can be found on www.ihop.org

I am excited to be going as a representative from YWAM Kona and to help in continuing of the growth of the IHOP and YWAM relationship. I am keen to learn from a father, what it may look like to encourage and involve children and families into our prayer room. I leave on Tuesday 6th – Mon 12th July. I will be driving, and still feel a little jet lagged from my trip back over here.

Please pray for: Grace, strength, traveling mercies, divine appointments, favor and finances. I will keep you posted on my return. Many blessings. Michael

Praise report!!!

I arrived back in Scotland to the beautiful sound of the Glaswegian accent and the unpredictable rain. I started my trip home running and continued to run for three weeks solid. I spent alot of my time reconnecting with supporters family and friends, but was sad not to catch up with everyone! It was great to tell testimony of what the Lord is doing in my life and sharing what he is doing in the nations through our team. I had the privilege of attending a very special couples wedding and I was honored to see two great friends of mine commit to each other forever. I was also asked to do a bit of teaching at the Lighthouse HOP and was blown away by the fathers faithfulness in providing finances. I received £1100 in just a week and a half of being home and had enough to return to continue my work here. Thank you for all your prayers in this area.

After 22hrs of traveling I arrived back in Kona to an 80`s Rock entourage. The guys from my house had dressed up in 80`s outfits and jumped of the truck with sounds of my childhood. I was defiantly back in Kona: ) I also found out that we had to move out of our house within the next few days, so have spent today packing up instead of catching up on sleep. We will be moving a little closer to campus which is good. It was so nice to have my first day back full of sweaty hugs and welcoming smiles. I am looking forward to settling in again, but that dosent look like it will happen anytime soon, as I have been given the great opportunity to go to IHOP next week, to attend a sings and wonders camp for children. I will be helping out and meeting with staff, to pray and brain storm ideas for how I can involve the children here on campus and I wont be paying a penny. What an honor!!! I will be heading out next Tuesday. Please pray for grace and strength as I move house and start traveling again. Thanks again for an awesome time home!

Update no 2:Rallying the campus to a radical life of prayer, devotion and intercession for the nations.

Hey family, friends, supporters and any one else checking out the site. I hope this update finds you well. This will be my long awaited 2nd update from the beautiful island of Hawaii. My computer is playing up and wont allow me to record a message, so sorry that you wont be able to hear my voice and see my beautiful face this time: ), but this is the best I can do.

Cave diving prayers:

I have had the privilege of serving in the campus school, that is set up for the missionary kids. I have been teaching the oldest class on prayer, worship and intercession, and have been taking them on a journey through the Psalms, teaching them about different styles of prayer, from using art, music, nature, videos, pictures and we even had contemplative prayer (“For God alone my soul waits in silence” Ps 62:1) in a cave. They are beginning to grasp a heart for intercession and the importance of being presence centered in all that they do. They have also been helping lead worship and intercession times in the prayer room. I am excited to see how God will use them in changing nations.

Strategic times in the merging of missions and prayer:

The campus had the privilege of having Mike Bickle with us a few weeks ago. He dosen`t travel often, but felt the leading to come and share with the campus what he believes is happening with YWAM Kona. He began to share the importance of the building of the house of prayer on our campus, as he believes that if we as the biggest missions movement on the globe, priorities everything that we do around the presence of God, we will not only see his kingdom come here in Kona but also in the nations, becuse of the influence that we have all over the world. He even stated that he believes we will have 10 times the influence that IHOP has. He also told us that the Lord has called them to bring our base to the Lord in intercession on a weekly bases, to cover us in prayer and call us into our destiny, as a missions movement that will encounter the Lord and be empowered to go into the nations with hearts set ablaze. I believe that this was a strategic gathering not only here for us but in the kingdom. There on stage stood Lauren Cunningham and Mike Bickle, side by side, arm in arm. A true picture of the merging of prayer and missions. Mike also came to speak to my team and encouraged us not to despise the small beginnings and to keep pressing in and pioneering. It was so encouraging to hear that from a man of God that has been digging the trenches for years. Those wise words gave us a second wind and has inspired us to keep pressing in.
Exodus 25:8-9 “And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you…just so you shall make it.”

Building the new GO-HOP

We are expanding daily, with many people from many nations joining us in times of adoration, intercession, worship, encounter and empowerment, so much so that we are having to move out of our small prayer room. The campus leadership team felt that as a base we had to priorities and give the Lord our best building for the new GO-HOP and we have spent the last few months reconstructing and beautifying the place that we will gather in to meet with him. I have been apart of the construction team and now have new skills in putting up dry wall, putting in windows, screwing and unscrewing screws and I am also very much skilled in hammering fingers . So if you need any work done when I am back in June, just let me know. I am a pro now: ) We hope to have the work completed within the next few months.

You can help Support this burgeoning movement of prayer and missions as we rally the campus to a radical life of prayer, devotion and intercession for the nations. “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations” Mark 11:17 by donating to the project. You can do so by checking out the web site www.uofnkona.edu and click on the donations button at the top of the page, special projects, prayer room.

Below are a few other things I am involved in:

  • Community Outreach – souls being saved and people being healed on the streets
  • Leading intercession slots for Hawaii, specifically Kona
  • Teaching infants on prayer and worship
  • Student ministry nights where many healing`s are breaking out, backs healed, 20/20 vision, depression…

Please join with me in prayer for:

  • Finances for my flight back to Hawaii. I will be coming home for a wedding in June and am still believing for the finances for my return flights back here, so that I cant finish my year of serving in the prayer room. I need around £1000
  • A deeper hunger and discipline in reading the word of God and for full revelation as I read.
  • That I may move out of my comfort zones and take hold of all that God has for me in this season.
  • For financial provision to help us build the GO-HOP and for more worshipers and intercessors to join our team.

Thank you for your prayers, financial giving and support. I love you all dearly and look forward to coming back to my beloved Scotland for a few weeks. I will be home on the 9th June and hope to return to Kona on the 21st June.

My declaration of Presence centred living!

// April 16th, 2010 // No Comments » // blog

I will be a burning one who lives his life centered around the presence of God. His presence will become my primary focus as I do the Father’s business!!! From His presence I will burn more brightly, love more fervently, move out in power and see the nations changed, for His glory!!!

Aloha family and friends!

Just thought I would share the vision behind what I am doing here in Kona.

Fire and Fragrance vision: Raising up and releasing authentic communities across the world that would center all of life around the presence of God leading to revival and reformation! A life of individual and corporate worship, intercession, and passionate intimacy with God married to a life that takes the fire of God to the streets, spheres, and nations. We believe God is raising up a generation that will not be satisfied until revival lives in our hearts, catalyzes their communities and becomes a reality all over the earth, our training schools are focused on developing a strong foundation of character and a biblical worldview together with releasing people into a lifestyle that is supernatural, full of risk, and incredibly fruitful.

My vlog will be up soon: )
